Potential for Flash Flooding in the Central Plains and Midwest Through the Weekend

Shared by IMSG

The combination of a very moist atmosphere and a stalled front will set the stage for several days of potentially heavy rainfall across parts of the Central Plains and Upper Midwest through the weekend. Parts of Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan could see several inches of rain during this period, with additional precipitation possible early next week. Given the expected slow movement of showers and thunderstorms and soils already saturated from previous precipitation, flash flooding will be a concern across these areas.
