NOAA NESDIS Support
IMSG serves as the main contractor for NOAA NESDIS for remote sensing support in algorithm development, testing, validation, and verification. We develop advanced algorithms for data migration and environmental analysis, making it possible to render real time data and accurate information in usable formats that can be extensively incorporated into a wide array of platforms and applications.
Satellite Applications
IMSG conducts the inter-satellite calibration and reprocessing of satellite data that is used to create products such as climate change data records, sea surface temperature, and polar ice cap melts. Our meteorologists, atmospheric scientists, and physical scientists help collect and analyze information regards the earth’s land, atmosphere, ocean and climate.
Proven Products
IMSG develops and maintains algorithms that produce satellite-based vegetation health, global vegetation indices, products and models for precipitation, flash floods, and soil moisture, radiation budgets, surface evapotranspiration, Quantitative Precipitation Forecasting, sea surface temperature (SST), Sea Surface Roughness, and coral reef carbon monitoring, and Ocean Color Remote Sensing.
