Public outreach and education has become a central theme in combating climate change and environmental impacts. IMSG realizes that information development and presentation are the critical components we provide to help our customers reach their goals. We launch successful campaigns to reach out and educate professionals and amateurs alike.
Proven Results
Develop and conduct training sessions for geographical information systems (GIS),
remote sensing, geospatial technologies, coral reef conservation and coastal zone
management
Prepare visualization of environmental data in 3-D, videos, maps, and multimedia,
which are commonly adopted and used by the pubic media (e.g. The Weather Channel, It
Could Happen Tomorrow)
Prepare outreach material for NOAA (e.g. press releases, brochures, web content,
and entries for the White House Weekly, the NOS Weekly, the Executive Management Team,
and the Oceans of the Week)
Coordinate end-to-end support for over 30 meetings and conferences per year
(ranging from onsite meetings to international conferences) to development partnerships,
sharing ideas and lessons in environmental resource management.
Spearhead educational initiatives promoting minorities in science education;
conduct outreach in support of the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program
(ANSEP), which aims to increase the number of Alaska Native students in science
education.
