"GIS" means different things to different groups. To the utility companies, city planners, and earth scientists the acronym "GIS" is associated with "Geographic Information Systems." However, due to an increasing interest in developing applications that locate, identify and track potential threats and targets, the Defense Industry is quickly transforming the meaning of this acronym to "Geospatial Intelligence Solutions."
I.M. Systems Group provides a wide array of solutions to enable military and intelligence organizations to combine data from different sources into a single environment for better decision-making. Through our partnership with Environmental Research Science Institute (ESRI), IMSG can design and deliver solutions such as:
Defense mapping
Mission planning
Command and control (C2)
Electronic Order of Battle
Dissemination and Web services
Stability and support operations (SASO)
Targeting and battle damage assessment (BDA)
Track management and remote sensor monitoring
Military operations on urbanized terrain (MOUT)
Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR)
Scene and terrain visualization and geographic modeling
Nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) incident planning and response
