I.M. Systems Group, Inc. (IMSG) (www.imsg.com), a Federal Government Contractor located in Rockville, Maryland is currently seeking to hire a Technical Leader/Software Developer to work on the Grants Online Operations and Maintenance project for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Finance Office located in Germantown, MD.   The individual in this position will work with the Solution Architect and a Jr. Developer to maintain the Grants Online system, implementing scheduled releases while following standard coding guidelines and processes.

Duties:

• Java/J2EE based Design and Development.
• Attend meeting with program officials and supporting federal staff
• Review of technical logs to determine the cause of system failures.
• Suggest changes to the system to prevent future system failures.  
• Federal grants process knowledge, expertise, and experience a significant plus.
• Requirements definition.
• Requirements gathering support.

Technical skills and other Requirements:

At least 5-8 years of experience in the following:

• J2EE-based Web Development using JSP, Servlets, JDBC using Advanced Development Tools like Eclipse (BEA WebLogic Workshop preferred). Knowledge of other commonly used J2EE APIs like EJB, JMS, JavaMail. Experience in Web Services is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in Apache Struts and at least one Application Server (BEA WebLogic 10.3 preferred).
• Object Oriented Design and Development Principles, including Design Patterns and SDLC models like Waterfall, Rational Unified Process (RUP).
• Database programming using Oracle 9i and PL/SQL. (Experience in Stored Procedures preferred).
• Knowledgeable in Unit Testing, Configuration and Build Management Tools like CVS, Apache Ant and JUnit.
