IMSG works with reef mangers throughout the world to preserve one the fastest dwindling ecosystems. We provide the expertise and applications to assist with coral reef mapping, monitoring, program management, outreach, and education that are essential for protecting and understanding reef habitats.

We work to utilize data such as sea surface temperature, data modeling of thermal stress, and broad scale synopsis in order to better predict instances of mass bleaching. Our scientists’ expertise has been essential in isolating the causes and potential consequences of coral bleaching.
