By standardizing information regarding land cover and changes derived from remotely sensed imagery, IMSG has helped to create a database that inventories intertidal areas, wetlands, and uplands in order to better monitor habitat changes. The information can then be assessed cyclically in order to provide resource managers with an accurate depiction of environmental changes and the impact of various factors upon habitats.
The program developed for analysis of coastal change is utilized by NOAA and is being incorporated globally in order to better preserve dwindling resources. With IMSG’s experience with remotely sensed data, database applications, and data analysis, we provide cutting edge systems that allow resource mangers to simulate and predict change and impacts to coastal areas.
