Next Generation (COMMITS NexGen)
In 2005, the Department of Commerce Information Technology Solutions Next Generation Program awarded IMSG a 10-year contract. The contract known as COMMITS NexGen, is a small business, government wide acquisition contract for information technology. Under COMMITS NexGen, IMSG provides a full range of information technology services including systems development and support; GIS solutions; web development and hosting; database development and management; and, information security support services such as risk analysis and development of systems security plans. GSA Environmental Services Schedule
In 2004, GSA awarded IMSG a five-year contract under the Environmental Services Multiple Award Schedule. Through this contract, IMSG provides direct assistance in three functional categories:

bullet Developing Watershed and Other Natural Resource Management Plans, Archeological and/orCultural Resource Management Plans, and by assisting with Environmental ProgramManagement under the Environmental Planning Services and Documentation Special ItemNumber.
bullet Assisting federal agencies in developing Spill Prevention/Control and Countermeasure Plansunder the Environmental Compliance Services Special Item Number.
bullet Applying skills and expertise to Mapping and Cartography, Natural Resource Planning, DataInterpretation, and Emergency Preparedness Planning under the Geographic InformationServices Special Item Number.

National Marine Protected Areas Center Task Order
In 2004, the NOAA National Ocean Service awarded IMSG a Task Order under a Blanket Purchase Agreement. Through this task order, IMSG provides social scientists who perform analysis and documentation of Marine Protected areas; GIS and database developers to support this analysis; and, policy specialists to work with municipal, tribal, state, federal and neighboring governments. Our work also includes outreach programs for keeping the public informed about the importance of their mission. Supported locations include Silver Spring, MD; Boston, MA; Monterey, CA; and Honolulu, HI.

Blanket Purchase Agreement by the National Ocean Service
In 2004, the NOAA National Ocean Service awarded IMSG a performance-based Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Project Based Scientific and Technical Support Services. This BPA is primarily for support to NOAA's Ocean Service, Marine Fisheries Service and Research Offices but the scope includes task orders for other organizations. The types of projects supported through the BPA's task orders include services to collect and analyze scientific data; creating, reviewing and revising scientific and technical plans and reports; reviewing program plans, procedures and results for compliance with pre-stated goals; building and sustaining coalitions among scientific and technical experts; implementing program plans; providing litigation support; and, coordinating program/project actions among Federal, state and local governments as well as industry and citizen groups. The types of labor available for these projects include: physical oceanographers, coastal scientists, oceanographers, marine biologists, marine ecologists, environmental scientists, fishery biologists, and natural resource economists.

NOAA Coastal Services Center Contract
In 2004, the NOAA Coastal Services Center awarded IMSG a five-year, thirty- million dollar contract. The IMSG team for this contract includes Perot Systems Government Services (PSGS) and Charleston Events. IMSG supports the Coastal Services Center directly in four functional areas:

bullet Spatial Data Development:   Develop and distribute spatial data to support the coastal resource management community in decision-making processes and to ensure the quality of data products procured through external contracts meets contract specifications.
bullet Geospatial Tools Development:   Create and deliver user-specified, GIS-based decision-support and data-manipulation tools that integrate and exploit remotely sensed data and derived products for coastal resource management.
bullet Technical Assistance and Training:   Develop educational and information products and services that extend remote sensing technology to state and local levels.
bullet Technology Evaluation and Applied Research:   Demonstrate the use of emerging and underutilized remote sensing technologies in coastal zone management scenarios.

This contract also includes event planning for major international conferences such as "Coastal Zone" and "GeoTools." The primary location for our support is the Coastal Service Center located in Charleston, SC, but also includes support in Silver Spring, MD, and Honolulu, HI.

National Ocean Service-Office of Response and Restoration
In 2002, NOAA National Ocean Service-Office of Response and Restoration awarded IMSG a five-year contract. Under this contract, IMSG provides Coral Reef Program Administration and Support Services to the Office of Response and Restoration. Through this contract IMSG provides environmental research scientists, policy analysts, outreach program support, legal and economic analysts, human resources support, and administrative services. We perform this work primarily in Silver Spring, MD, but we also provide support personnel to locations in Long Beach, CA; Honolulu, HI; and Seattle, WA.

Habitat Restoration Division Contract
In 2004, the NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service awarded IMSG a five-million-dollar performance-based contract for Program Administration and Support Services for the Habitat Restoration Division (Restoration Center). IMSG provides the technical expertise necessary to assess, implement, and coordinate fisheries habitat restoration and its related program activities in order to restore the coastal and marine habitats that support the nation's fisheries, both within the United States and her territories. Specific areas that IMSG is currently supporting include coordination of restoration projects under the Community-based Restoration Program (CRP) and the Damage Assessment and Restoration Program (DARP); financial management; NEPA compliance; coordination with municipal, state, and federal agencies; outreach programs; and human resources support. Support locations include Silver Spring, MD; Narragansett, RI; and Gloucester, MA.
